Loom pricing: users, recording limits and annual bills
Loom’s paid plans charge for users, while self-hosting charges for infrastructure and the work of operating it. The table uses current USD list prices and the one-user annual selection. Check your actual team size and purchasing channel before treating an annual equivalent as your bill.

Loom pricing at a glance
USD list prices checked 2026-10-01. The annual column is a monthly equivalent, with an annual billing commitment.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0.00/month | $0.00/month | 25 recordings/person; 5 min/screen recording | Basic screen recording, transcriptions, comments and reactions. |
| Business | $18.00/user/month | $15.00/user/month$180.00/user/year | Paid users; unlimited videos and recording time | Starter features plus basic editing, branding removal, uploads and downloads. |

Annual prices here use the one-user selection: Business $180/year and Business + AI $240/year. Larger annual teams may be billed in user tiers; confirm the selected team size and purchasing channel.
Starter’s five-minute limit applies to screen recordings. The pricing page separately lists unlimited meeting-recording length.
These USD amounts agree with the pricing page’s embedded catalog. No checkout, tax calculation or customer quote was performed.

Understand what the annual selector is showing
The annual control changes the displayed amount into a yearly charge. In our browser check, one user produced a Business bill of $180/year and a Business + AI bill of $240/year. Dividing by twelve gives the monthly equivalents in the table. Those equivalents do not mean the service bills that amount each month.
At 100 users, the same page showed $18,000/year and $24,000/year, with a 91–100 user-tier label. We therefore keep the one-user assumption explicit rather than presenting one linear formula for every annual team size. The vendor’s pricing FAQ also distinguishes Loom.com subscriptions from Atlassian purchasing channels. Confirm the channel and selected team size before approving a budget.
Start with the free screen-recording allowance
Starter can cover occasional short walkthroughs. Its screen-recording limits are a different question from whether a paid plan is worth buying for editing, uploads, branding or AI features. Count the recordings you need to retain and identify which recording mode you use before comparing plans.
Business adds unlimited videos and recording time plus basic editing and upload/download features. Business + AI adds the reviewed AI and advanced editing capabilities. Enterprise is a sales conversation rather than a public fixed price. We do not treat any of those plans as interchangeable with a source-code download.
What self-hosting changes in the bill
CaptureFlow shifts the cost model to your Cloudflare account. Its Worker, database and media bucket have separate usage dimensions. A small recording archive may fit allowances, but growing storage, multipart uploads and repeated views change the calculation. A custom domain and optional email provider are additional considerations.
Cloudflare R2’s Standard free tier includes 10 GB-month of storage, one million Class A operations and ten million Class B operations per month. These are shared account allowances, not a promise that a video application remains free indefinitely. Storage is averaged over the billing period; a number of uploaded videos is not a substitute for measuring bytes retained.
As an illustrative storage-only example, retaining 20 GB consistently for a month leaves 10 GB-month above that storage allowance. At $0.015/GB-month, the excess storage component is $0.15 before operations, Worker usage, other account consumption or separate services. This calculation is not a deployed-app bill.
Compare the service you need
Self-hosting is attractive when code ownership and infrastructure control justify someone maintaining authentication, dependencies, media access and recovery. A managed free plan can be the cheaper overall choice when it already covers the job and nobody wants that responsibility.
Use the Loom alternatives shortlist to compare workflows. The CaptureFlow comparison and Cloudflare setup guide explain the reviewed scope and the tests still needed before moving real recordings.
Common questions
How much is Loom Business?
The reviewed monthly selection shows $18 per user per month. With one user and annual billing selected, it shows $180 per year, equivalent to $15 per month. Team-size tiers and the purchasing channel can affect annual billing.
How much is Loom Business + AI?
Monthly billing shows $24 per user per month. The one-user annual selection shows $240 per year, equivalent to $20 per month. Enterprise needs a quote.
What are Loom’s free screen-recording limits?
Starter lists 25 recordings per person and five minutes per screen recording. The page separately describes unlimited meeting-recording length; do not apply the screen limit to every recording mode.
